The Boards of Chess website has been redone. Check it out, if you haven't already, at www.boardsofchess.com Our intention with this blog is to keep you up to date on our current tournament schedules, as well as any new product announcements. Feel free to leave questions, ideas, or any other thoughts that you might have.
All boards are now available with algebraic notation. We have also added 21"x21" tournament sized boards with 2 & 1/8" squares.
That's it for now, check back later, for our next scheduled tournament or event.

I am looking for chess pieces that are made to resemble cavemen. Would you be able to produce these?

Just got and used your Oak & Maple board -- great!!! I'm going to use this everywhere...wonderful product!!! I want to send in some pictures of us playing chess with it.
hi guys! good product! but, you do know that USCF tournament standard is actually 2 1/4 squares, right? any reason for the odd 2 1/8 size, and will you be offering larger squares soon?
I second that last question.
Hey guys, thanks for the comments. The reason for the unusual square size was due to the fact that the borders on my boards are too big. I made some boards with 2 1/4" squares, but it then pushed the boards out to 23"x23", which was too large to fit into the tournament bags. I now intend to go back and alter my designs, so that the boards will have 2 1/4" squares, and a smaller border. I'll keep you posted as to when I have completed this. Thanks.
You still happening with this? I have a few possibly interested parties. :)
